The Peace Flame House, part of the “Slana Banja” memorial complex, houses an eternal flame in honour of peace.

The Peace Flame House Association organizes and manages the activities in the Peace Flame House. The Dutch Fred Foundation started a philanthropic effort in 1994 with the help of athletes who participated in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, the then mayor Selim Bešlagić, local communities and a large number of benefactors, to develop this unique facility.

The Peace Flame House hosts associations working on the message of peace, promoting tolerance and working to raise citizens’ awareness of social needs through various workshops on social values, culture and education, and aims to make a strong contribution to to provide for the reconciliation and development of culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
