People with and without visual impairment live, work and recreate in Parc Viventra. Clients and regular tenants live together, thus promoting the integration and participation of people with disabilities in society. The design and layout have been adapted on all terrains for residents with a visual impairment. The joint entrances and the apartments are designed in such a way that they are very easily accessible for people with a visual impairment.

In the district there are two (care) apartment buildings with a total of 96 apartments, of which 48 in a building called Lantana and 48 in a building called Datura. 24 Bartiméus clients live in each building. There are also residential buildings for small-scale living and a residential home. Parc Viventra (literally: living in an open space in the forest) is the result of a collaboration between the municipality of Ermelo, Bartiméus and the UWOON housing association.
